need to see my email fan list thing… how do i do it? |

TOBY - All emails from your Fan Collector are imported into FanReach. You can find FanReach in your Artist Toolbox on your artist profile page. It also has a place for you to add email contacts you already have. Check it out! If you have questions, talk to Neal (nmoody@reverbnation.com) |

sorry to have posted it in two bits, didn’t really think…... typical ole me! |

hey great site but a couple questions… the widget for the show schedule looks cool. but what if I add a show, does it automatically add it to my widget on Myspace? also, I tried to add a show and it provided me the venue information, but it looks like it isn’t correct. can I change it? thanks! |

roygbiv, Yes, the purpose of the Widgets is to allow you to manage your information on ONE place and have it automatically distribute out to all of your other web pages, like MySpace. It does this in real-time. As for the venue info, we have a database of over 5,000 venues on file (more added every day). Some of the info is not correct. All you need to do is send an email to venues@reverbnation.com and let us know what needs correction. |

i was wondering about the ‘share’ button on the widgets. i plan to sell ‘beats’ for non-exclusive and exclusive use at my website, and right now i have the widget to give a taste of the music. it’s troublesome enough trying to figure out how to securely sell and protect digital downloads via paypal/credit card, but if the share button on the player makes it easier for someone to take it , then i might need to stop using it. i just want people to go thru more steps if their going to ‘rip’ because i know nothing is truly safe. if i’m wrong, please tell me. |

Lost Angelz Hi! You have very valid concerns, however, the share button is strictly in place to allow your fans to copy the exact widget you have posted for posting on their own site. It doesn’t give them ownership of the songs and they can not download from the widget either (unless you have specifically made your songs available for download through the site). The Share fuction just allows your fans to put the player on their own pages and spread your music. You are also provided with tracking on this in your STATS section in your Toolbox tab to see all the websites it gets pasted too. It doesn’t give them the file of your music or anything like that. I hope that answers your question, if not, shoot any other ones you have to Neal at nmoody@reverbnation.com. Thanks! ADMIN |

thanks for clearing that up and thanks for all the great work reverbnation does for artist. |

sorry for the double post. what are the benefits of the new freewebs reverbnation widget? does it link to the artist page or should i keep the one i embedded into my site awhile ago? |
LOS ANGELZ Hi! Basically RN is the only music player available to those who sign up for Freewebs. So anytime a Freewebs user decides they want music on their page, they have to select the ReverbNation Music Player Widget for their page. It’s an interface which allows them to sort, pick, and choose from every song at ReverbNation (including your music automatically as long as it is on the site) to build a player for their site. It is something that exposes your music automatically to 17 million users, which is pretty cool! You don’t need to change out any widgets you’ve already embedded! Let us know if you have any more questions! ADMIN |

I’ve put the widget on my web site. It shows up, but it’s blank, and, well…silent. Any suggestions? |
SHAKY If your widget is blank, it is most likely because you don’t have FLASH installed, or the latest version. Widgets are all made with FLASH, so you have to have it to see them. Let us know if you install it or upgrade and are still having trouble! Thanks Admin |

Regarding the FreeWebs widget – I’ve noticed lately in my widget stats that I’ve been getting a few plays from there. Is there a way to find out who’s got it on their page, so I can drop by and say thanks? |
what does it mean when i have ‘impressions’ on my widgets? |
Mister Z If you look on the Widgets Tab inside of STATS (located in your Toolbox tab when logged into your page), you can see the Top Placements for all of your widgets, all with a GOTO link to visit the page. Thanks! ADMIN |
JEDEYE Impressions are just like “views”. Each time someone visits a page on the Internet with one of your widgets on it, you get an impression. Thanks! ADMIN |

Band Administrator It is hard to police this all the time, but when we do see those, we take them down. ADMIN |

I posted this on another topic – didn’t see this one.. sorry. Hi everyone, Is there a way when someone wants my player from my space that it can auto=play on their space??? This has been the biggest downside so far – unless I’m missing something, which I often do! :) I get a lot of requests for sharing the player but they want auto-play. I don’t want to use the myspace player because it only lets you have four/five songs. Has this recently been added to the reverbnation player – Oh I please HOPE SO! I think if you made this an option when sharing, it would get you a lot more people. Thanks! Catriona |

FRONTAL ABSENCE You’ll want to make sure that frontpage accepts both Flash and HTML, I’m not familiar with the program, but it sounds like it might not accept flash. If you’d like more tech support, feel free to email Eric at ehermann@reverbnation.com Thanks ADMIN |
CATRIONA Hi, you can autoplay the widget. Just click the Auotplay fuction on when you grab the code. If you want your fans to be able to grab an autoplay widget, the widget they click the share button on also must be autoplay (i.e. if it isn’t and they grab the share code, it won’t be autoplay on theirs either). It is two different codes for the same widget when you are dealing with autoplay on, or autoplay off, so it would be difficult to share the code for the autoplay on from a widget with autoplay off. Hello – not very savvy here. Is there a way to get rid of the MySpace player on my music page? I only want the RN player. Thanks in advance to anybody. |
Hi DoubleVirgo No problem! I believe if you just delete all of your songs out of the MySpace player, that it will remove off of your page. If that doesn’t work, shoot an email to Eric at ehermann@reverbnation.com, he’s a member of the computer team and can look deeper if you need. Thanks! ADMIN |
