Suppport for Wordpress?

Is there any future support for Wordpress? I’ve tried putting the code for the player in Wordpress but it simply displays the ReverbNation banner and links back. Could be I’m doing something wrong… Butch |

We’ve posted on our wordpress blog without any problems, remember to click the “Code” button to enter your widget code into your wordpress post and you shouldn’t have a problem, our wordpress blog is hosted on our own site and not at wordpress itself, but your shouldn’t have a problem. Here’s our post at our blog: http://www.rembeatz.co.uk/blogv2/2007/10/11/reverbnation-and-remergence/ |

I still cant seem to get it to work on Wordpress. Take a look here: http://gwscaife.wordpress.com/ I copied and pasted the code below and the result is what you seen on the link above. code: |

RemBeatZ, I have tried to add our widgets to Word press using the code option when you post but still haven’t been successful. Here’s and example: http://reberbguy.wordpress.com/2007/10/02/hand-placed-widget-code/ Could there be something else you did to successfully place your fan collector widget? Also, do you have a specific version of Word press that may have additional features? |

Doesn’t matter if you click on the “code” tab or not… I think Wordpress has a problem with embedded Flash code. |

I am giving up on WordPress. |

I’m also using the web version of Word Press. I’ve switched over from Blogger for the improved blogging that Word Press gives you. But I still can’t get my widgets to appear. If anyone gets this resolved, please post it here. |

Ok, I found out a little more about the problem. Apparently WordPress disables Flash. Here’s more info: http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/10/23/can-i-add-flash-video-embed-other-media/ I guess our only hope is if ReverbNation can get on their list of approved Flash sites. Michael |

RemBeatZ – if you could share your secret w/ the rest of us – we would be ever-so-grateful. Do you have a special Wordpress profile? |

Admin, I’m petitioning WordPress to allow ReverbNation content here. I could use a little help. See the thread here: http://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic.php?id=25970 Glad to be of help, Michael |

I got this reply from their technical support: “Hi Michael, Things usually get added to WordPress.com when there is enough demand or enough usage on self-hosted WordPress blogs to show the need for it.” I guess the only thing to do is to email Nick directly at: nick @ wordpress.com Maybe if he gets enough requests they’ll get around to adding it. But based on the amount of traffic here in the forums, I’m going to guess that isn’t going to happen. Michael |

Micheal – thanks for doing this. We will get the word out for all people inquiring about our widgets not working in WordPress and we will forward Nick’s address to those users. Thanks, Eric |
