A couple new improvements to the site were instituted this week, here’s a recap of some of the new stuff you’ll see:

ARTIST TOOLBOX

- We have changed the interface of the Artist Toolbox to make it more user-friendly, with a better interface and better tracking of Stats. This version of the Toolbox will keep artists more organized and informed than the previous. Check out the new tracking stats and graphs!

STATS

- We have made a couple of additions to the Stats section to help keep artists more informed. You will now see a Cumulative Fan chart, as well as a traffic chart, which will tell you the top 5 websites you are receiving traffic from to your RN profile page.

- Improved Widget tracking

BLOG/BUZZ TAB

- The new Blog/Buzz tab on artist profile pages is extremely useful. It allows artists to see all of the chatter on the internet regarding their band. Automatic searches of several blog engines including MSN, Technorati, Blogpulse and more! You can also find YouTube related videos and Flickr pictures all from your artist profile page!

- You can now show your Blogger blog (or other remote blog) on your ReverbNation page. Click “Blog Preferences” once inside the tab to upload your blog or customize which “Buzz” services you would like inside of your tab.

SMALL CHANGES

- Improved Playlist interface - Daily and Overall breakdown of Widget stats in Stats. - New Show Search interface

Thanks!

Thanks for the information forums here. By far, the ReverbNation site has been the most useful out here for dependable, consistent presentation of music as well as video. I am a songwriter/journalist/guitarist from Seattle who is currently writing an article about home recording and promoting independent music. Your site has been a huge help and I would love to hear from other musicians/bands/songwriters who have had similar experiences in moving their music into this vast cyberspace audience. Thanks again!!!

Thanks for the new widgets – however, the blog ones don’t actually fit into the 180px space you’ve allocated because of your buffer.gif images used for spacing.

I’ve managed to fix the horizontal scroll bar on our website by adding a width attribute into the img tag in the html. But you could do that, and maybe reduce the width of the buffer image to 1px square anyway? You could then resize it as needed in the html for each widget.

Just a thought, thanks for some wicked tools anyway – doing well and am rapidly starting to use reverbnation for pretty much all our promo stuff online.

Cheers,

Matt
