Topic: Site Related Topics / Widgets (Music Player, Show Schedule/Map) ok here is a new one. i am making my own widgets, but have encountered a problem turning a youtube video into a widget. maybe i just shouldnt be doing this. but i would like to keep track of who is watching the videos i post. the problem that occurs is that when i turn a youtube video into a widget, it either a)will not play or b)will play the video but not the audio. anyone else have this problem? should i just not turn youtube videos into widgets? is there a fix? im including a sample widget so you can see what i mean… thanks! :) |

Topic: Site Related Topics / FanReach (including Fan Collector widget) heres an idea i had that i thought i would share. instead of giving people this link http://www.reverbnation.com/labradordali?add_email=true to join our mailing list, i have created a subdomain for our website at http://join.labradordali.com that is redirected to the fan reach url… which i can use in emails or what not as a link to prompt people to join the mailing list. much easier to remember i think… |

Topic: Site Related Topics / DistroNow/SNOCAP in my opinion there are other mp3 retailers out there that are waaaay superiour to sno-cap. this is only my opinion though, i dont want to start anything bad or negative or slanderous, but PERSONALLY i feel like until sno-cap VASTLY improves their customer service relations, one could much better spend his or her time looking for another digital retailer than they could trying to get into snocap. again, this is my personal belief based purely on my experiences. |

Topic: Site Related Topics / FanReach (including Fan Collector widget) forgive me if this isnt quite on the topic of fan reach, but i am looking for suggestions on collecting email addresses from our live shows. one of our friends has started going around and collecting email’s from the folks at the show, giving them a sticker for their email address. the problem, most people have terrible penmanship (to be fair, we do play mostly in bars and i am sure that alcohol does affect ones writing style). basically, we got 11 email addresses from our last gig, and all but 3 are coming up as ‘invalid’ in fan reach- i think i am interpretting them improperly, but it is hard to tell with some of them what they are meaning to write. does anyone have any tips, ideas or suggestions on how to overcome this? thanks :) |

Topic: Site Related Topics / Widgets (Music Player, Show Schedule/Map) first of all excuse me if i am missing the obvious, this is one of those i thought was easy but just cant figure out. on the music player, the ‘buy music’ button links to a pop up window, i remember being able to enter code there (the code i entered is for a service im not using at the moment) so i want to change the code there. but in looking at the admin/tools the only thing i am seeing is the storelink page. now when i do click the ‘buy music’ button on the player, the little page that opens with the old code does have an ‘edit’ link in the upper right hand corner, but this seems to be a dead link. not sure what im doing |
