Topic: FanReach (including Fan Collector widget) Hi! I just placed the “fan collector” widget “blog size” on my site but I just noticed that we can type the ”@” in the form of this widget! Did you notice that? Is there a way to repair it? Thanks |

Topic: FanReach (including Fan Collector widget) clarityat3am My live appearance email list only asks for email address and a Zip code – I try not to ask for too much info so I try to get the importants. Even if they never fill in the other blanks, I still have their email and I know where they are. |

Topic: FanReach (including Fan Collector widget) Of the upcoming updates to Fan Reach that will allow for more control, wondering if improvement on either of the following will be made: Street Team control: I’d like to be able to remove people from the street team in a straight forward manner. Right now, I don’t see a way to remove the star myself – & truth be told, most of the people with stars have never opened an email. I’d like to be able to wipe the Street Team roster almost clean and rebulid it with people who at least view the messages. Better control of Contact selection when Creating Emails: When creating a general email, sometimes there might be a few hundred who should not receive the message. As Fan Reach operates now, I can either check “select all” or I can uncheck it and “select none”. The problem is that selecting all or none applies to the entire list. Example: I have several pages of contacts but for simplicity say I have 10 pages and need to message a total of 6 pages – I click “check all” because everyone on page 1 should be emailed, everyone on page 2, & only some of the contacts on pages 3 and 4 and so forth. If I deselect the “check all” button, it deselects the entire list – including the ones on previous pages that I’d already determined needed to be emailed. Since the remaining 3 pages worth of email addresses are distributed between the remaining pages, I should be able to make a blanket request to unselect only the email addresses I am looking at. That way, I can re-check those that need to get the message. Naturally, something like this would be easy with only 10 pages b/c I could quickly manually deselect or select – but more pages makes hand manipulation less feasible. The suggestion is a second selection box that only adds the contacts on THAT page – & works in conjunction with the “select all”. The “select all” or none would work just as it does now – a master function, but the “select viewable” would function within that function – leaving email addresses checked/unchecked on other pages. It would only select/deselect the viewed page – leaving the user free to only check 2 email addresses without having to manually deselect 18 contacts. Control over search: This seems related to the “select all” thing. However, say I want to email everyone in my list having “smile” in their email address – AND I also want to send the same message to everyone in zip code 74539. I can search for “smile” and those (say) 439 email addresses appear checked off and ready to go. Should I go back and search for contacts within 10 miles of 74539, I might get a list of 256 different email addresses – but when I go to “Create Email” the contacts selected show 256 (just from the last search) and not the 695 that it should show from both lists combined. The original list of “smile” is lost all together. I’ve found a work around by making a tage called “Email” and doing individual searches and then temporarily tagging the results of each – & then searching for the tag. Works fine, but I thought I’d suggest an improvement to that end. Control over the Contact List view: Perhaps options “view 20”, “view 50”, “view 100”...or perhaps no option as I realize it might cause issues with the select all or something on a system wide basis – so perhaps just change the default to a bigger number. Thanks in advance for passing these along. Gem |

Topic: FanReach (including Fan Collector widget) I’m looking for some advice on adding names from sign up lists filled out at live shows. Is it just easier to get only a name and email address and hope that they fill out the rest when they receive a confirmation email, or has anyone found it easier to get specific location information at each show and just fill in the blanks when they confirm? Thanks! |

Topic: FanReach (including Fan Collector widget) Hi everyone! I don’t know if it has already been asked but I think taht it would be fantastic if the FanReach contacts list could be exported with the information (country, name, age…) of our choice. What do you think? Thanks |

Topic: FanReach (including Fan Collector widget) You can add tags in two ways. First you can add a tag when you import a list of contacts. There will be a small drop down menu below the import box and you can choose then which tag to add to the imports. If you wish to add tags to already imported contacts, you need to first select the contacts you wish to take (by checking the box next to their information) on the Manage Contacts tab. Then from the drop down menu (located just about the contact list) you can select which tag you wish to apply. Also from that same drop down menu, you can remove selected contacts. I hope that helps. As always you can email: support@reverbnation.com for further assistance. Admin |

Topic: FanReach (including Fan Collector widget) Hello Darren, You should be able to access the new Stats page by going into Admin/Tools and clicking Stats. You said it appears you’ve hit a max on your listeners. While this isn’t a penalty, it can be a problem for moving up the charts. We set a max on listeners, plays, etc. to encourage artists to stay active with promoting their music. Basically it wouldn’t be fair if 1 listener playing a song 3,400 times was weighed equally to 3,400 people playing the song once each. Therefore we set a cap on these values so that the artist continues to bring in new/unique listeners and fans. I hope that helps explain the situation a little better. RN |

Topic: FanReach (including Fan Collector widget) Hi I entered the site today and came across a new stats page I’d not seen before, and can’t seem to access again … Generally very happy with RevN, however I noticed on this page that I had reached a ‘maximum listeners’ figure that could only be increased if I had more fans I’m puzzled by this … indeed my first reactive response was to think that I was being penalised in some way for not having more fans signed up to the site I’m not one of those who sells his ass for a chart placing, but I am a little concerned that the all-welcoming positiveness of RevN might be about to change if we have a litter of penalties clogging up the site Maybe I’m wrong, and chance of an explanation, especially as to how I can re-access this new stats layout, which looked really cool by the way ~ ~ ~ And maybe, just maybe, if I read this right first time, is it the way that my listeners are now being penalised or restricted if they don’t sign up as fans? I am one of those with other fan lists that I’ve been running for years, and as cool as RevN ‘fan reach’ is, I’m in danger of spamming people if I bombard people with another mailing-lists system. I do promote my RevN page though, a lot … it has around 30 songs and 6 videos. Sorry if I have waffled … it’s been a long week thanks, dp :-) |

Topic: FanReach (including Fan Collector widget) In the next few months we will be rolling out many updates to Fan Reach that will allow for much greater control. However I do not believe we will make it possible to delete email addresses from the Unavailable tab. They must remain there to make sure the same emails don’t get sent through the system a 2nd time. |

Topic: FanReach (including Fan Collector widget) I noticed that recently fan reach was modified so that we can edit our fans age name location…ect. I also think we should be able to clean house in the “UNAVAILABLE” section as far as deleting Invalid emails due to typos and misinformation. People enter weird emails into the fan collector widget and we are just stuck with them in our unavailable section I think that we should have control over every aspect of fan reach just the same as a normal email account. I think that if we want to delete all unavailable emails we should have that option. And I also think that we should have an option to personalize the confirmation emails so that our recipients don’t mistakingly mark them as spam. Just a little more control for the artist is all I am asking BASICALLY MAKE FAN REACH THE SAME AS ANY OTHER EMAIL ACCOUNT THANK YOU KEY LOADS CEO of NTN RECORDS, LLC |

Topic: FanReach (including Fan Collector widget) Gamesproducerjan, Thank you for your patience. You’re public e-mail was listed as @gmail,com instead of @gmail.com, which I changed by selecting the EDIT PROFILE button underneath your profile picture. This should correct the problem that you are having with FanReach. If you are still having trouble, please send an e-mail to support@reverbnation.com. Thank you again for your patience. Hope that helps, ADMIN |

Topic: FanReach (including Fan Collector widget) Hi Classicomp, Sorry you are having trouble. More than likely, the other fans your are seeing are fans from other social networking sites, like Facebook. If Facebook friends Fan your band through MyBand, but don’t create a RN profile, they will become part of your Fan count but won’t be on the main list. To view them, click the VIEW FB FANS link above your list of RN fans. Hope that helps, ADMIN |

Topic: FanReach (including Fan Collector widget) The fan counter shows more fans than the fan list does. The fan list only shows members who are my fans. The fanreach counter shows fans but they are not listed. Is that because they did not fill in the fanreach forms? Sorry for the dumb question, but I’m just getting started. |

Topic: FanReach (including Fan Collector widget) I did try to edit my contact email on the management profile by selecting preferences and saving the email again, however originally I inserted the correct email but when I activated the Openreach I may have inserted a invalid email but once the registration was completed it seems I am unable to access any options to change my email address. I hope that helps to clarify a bit. |
