Another suggestion: You guys could looks into Music supervision, through sites like this. http://www.musicsupervisor.com/ Their systems easy enough that you can work out a deal with them thats easy enough to set-up,they seem to be a fairly hot com oddity when it comes down to getting music into soundtracks. Avenues you can look at are”Finders fee’s”(10% off the initial deal, you make money when everyone makes money). Barry Coffing is the guy to talk to….really great to deal with. They Revue all the stuff coming and going through them,so if the musics not up to par from the artists,it just doesn’t go into the system.

Theirs a few other spots, where if you guys wanna Directly Deal with company’s etc. http://www.cuesheet.net/ Will directly hook you guys into the leads etc for soundtracks, movies ,commercials.

Here’s another one: http://www.positionmusic.com/filmtvmedia.php Positions got Celldweller on their roster, and their constantly in movie trailers coming out the as wazoo, its its another avenue for music supervision department for ya..

An Interesting spin would be Commercial spots for artists that get signed for a movie or commercial(commercials make bank allot better) via a trailer, that could be presented on the front page of reverbnation etc.

Here’s a few suggestions: As we know most Social networking sites like Reverbnation, myspace etc, have a tendency to have the right idea, yet when it comes down to the over all usefulness to the artist, they sometimes miss the point. You guys have a fantastic start here…their are a few things though I would like to suggest, since we were one of the old mp3.com bands, years ago that did great on the site, when it was both artist and fan driven.

Your new charting system as it stands, should have a little more diversity…..to compete with the other sites around, some more category’s should be available, this way at least Indies have a shot at getting in some organic traffic through the system…. Gothic and various other genres would be handy to have in your charts…..

Second is,and it looks like you guys are sort of sitting on the fence with this, keep the charting system diverse enough so that both the Indies and the majors have equal chances to chart on your system. your present change just alienated allot of your Indies acts, and theirs a few of them on here, that are better than some of your charted top acts….just something to consider.

Since you guys have Video…....and this is a huge thing these days. My suggestion is as follows, and this can be both lucrative from an advertiser stand point, generate revenue for the site, and be beneficial to the artists on here as well. My suggestion is approach a few different company’s for sponsorship…..but do it like this. Have it or create it so that company’s have an opportunity to have video spots put onto your video. What I mean is say you have a video you can upload, you could have it so,the artist could choose a company they wish to hep advertise in their video…..example,GenzBenz amps for starters, they have videos etc….and could easily have it so they have a 30 second spot you could include…. so the trick would be…...having options were you could either post, add on to your video,or apply it in a manner so that both bands, this site, and company’s would combine to create a good community.

I believe this type of thing could be used for music gear….movies, websites blogs etc….the revenue possibility’s are enormous, and with the ability of you tube as a free resource, you can easily tap this to save on server load…..

Secondly…...for the fans. Have it so they can make their own pages with Radio stations, were they could create a list of songs that they could critique(via blog as an example)....and have it so they could do several of them to create different pages. Your then going to level playing ground between the labels and Indies, and have artist driven/fan driven system, that no one is really doing… Again the potential with this is large. Since blogging and net radio’s becoming a monster these days…just some thoughts anyways:Laters
